To develop as a department of excellence in the area of Mechanical Engineering for imparting a blend of conventional and modern technologies with a view to fulfill the human resource needs of the nation.
MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT
M1- To provide knowledge of various Mechanical engineering aspects and skill based practices.
M2 – To facilitate academic –industrial interaction to enable the students to visualize the latest technological trends in engineering, promote entrepreneurship and create employment.
M3 – To develop confidence in students to apply their skills to serve the society with a sustainable development approach.
Mechanical Engineering is a Conventional Engineering Branch. The diploma course was started in the year 1947-1948since its inception in the year 1947-1948. Now the department has intake strength of 60 students per year . The Department focuses on imparting a solid theoretical foundation across a vast spectrum of technologies along with hands-on work experience. It provides a platform for the students to explore their innovative and creative skills.
The Department has an excellent infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories which include General workshop, advanced production Engineering lab, Heat Engine lab, Hydraulics lab, cad lab, and Servicing & Maintenance lab with state-of-the-art facilities.
It include a wide range activities like design, development, production, control and management of Engineering as well as human work force system. Mechanical Engineering contribute the major share high standard living style of human beings. So the demand curve of Mechanical hand always sloping upwards.
An dedicated team of Faculty and staff Members acts as the backbone for nurturing the budding Engineers.
