To create a knowledge  pool of diploma civil engineering professionals by providing quality  education  that includes entrepreneurial skills.

  • To mould the students into responsible citizens & Competent Professionals by imparting technical skills and social ethics.



  • To build a domain knowledge  base at the department level by fostering  practical development activities and entrepreneurial skills there by contributing towards the development   of civil engineering field.

Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches. The Department of civil engineering started functioning in this college under the Directorate Of Technical Education during 1947-48.  The department offers a full time Diploma in civil engineering. It is the branch with a lot of diversity from  Environmental to Hydraulics, Transportation to Hydrology etc.
 
The Department has well equipped laboratory facilities and a team of highly qualified faculty experienced in different fields of Civil Engineering. A number of consultancy works are also being carried out.Consultancy services in materials testing were carried out for the PWD/various Local Bodies/Govt Agencies and other private organizations and Builders.Also, a Material Testing Centre was established during the academic year 2017-18.
